If you woke up on the morning you’re new president is getting sworn into office and the power is out, it’s usually not a very good sign that things will work just fine. It’s downright scary.
Sometimes I get jealous with other people who get too fancy with words. I was never anything like that. I can never use tinge or melancholy or even persnickety in my sentences and not feel silly. I say what I want to say straight out and that’s it. And although, I am happy with how I do it, I still wish at times that I can be fancier, too.
